Texmod with cartographer, any difference ?? - Guild Wars Forums

Hi, i down loaded texmod extracted it to gw folder, as well as having cartographer, just wondering shouldnt i see some difference in the map or game having those two addons ?? just what ive heard or seen said i wouldve thought i did , ?

must be me ?

on a side note, i read the read me file, and it said the texmod version is an early beta version, gah, does that mean i need to dl a latest version ??

open texmod click on target application ,choose GW.exe ,make sure you are in package mode , click on the folder icon and browse to where you stored the cartography file choose your map i.e. canthan cartography , then click on the file where it appears under Package Name and you should get a message appearing in the right hand box to say its loaded , press run to start GW and you should see a brownish mist over all the areas you need to uncover still.

ok , i hate to sound ......... = ( but everything was ok right up to where u explain ...browse to where you stored the cartography file choose your map i.e. canthan cart when i got to cart folder, down below still had exe marked so i dropped down the menu to all files as to show, and couldnt find canthan map or anything similar had all folder for other things instance maps n such but nothing named like that, sorry im a mod addon newb ><

These files are a separate download from the program itself. Cartography Made Easy at this wiki link http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide...aphy_Made_Easy

Save each of the files somewhere on your computer and follow Ghengis' instructions.

ok darcy i did that dl'd all 3 map cart made easy files to my documents then did a copy and paste to cart folder, did the texmod thing again as described in ghengis, soon as i hit run i got a small text box saying and titled "shit happens, doh ".............. ./sigh

ahh got it working all the light brownish areas still not explored yet, on the map, thank u guys, trial and error = )

ahhh sry one last bit, i have 3 charectars, so , i have to to this tex mod thing before gw each time as ive noticed the brown areas dont show if run gw from desktop icon and only shows if i click run from texmod ?

Yes, it only works if you run GW through Texmod.

ok thanks all , = ) - just as a side note, thos even with some brownish area i still cant get to them to map them even tho they might be just nothing, like a mountain peak that wont map, or a small island sw of cho's estate or misu garden, not sure which one, but cant get to it, = ) anyway all sorted now, thank u all.................. thread finished

there are ways to get to just about all that is in light brown...the darker brown is the areas that are not 'unfog' able....
(if you are talking about the island south of the monastery island that is the noob pvp areas...talk to the arena guard to explore that).
to get to some of the areas you will need to scrap the sides of the areas...sometimes going from both directions until it 'pops'
